Privacy Policy

Eligibility

Job Galaxy is intended for users 18 and older. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

What we collect

When you create a Job Galaxy account we store: your name, email, password (hashed by Supabase Auth), your selected role/country/experience level, links you add for LinkedIn/GitHub/LeetCode, a list of skills you declare, and any resume you upload. We also keep a record of which jobs you've applied to, your notification preferences, and whether you've opted in to marketing email, so we can sync those across devices. Bookmarked jobs are saved only in your browser's local storage on each device — they aren't sent to or synced by our servers.

If you contact Support, we keep the content of your request and its resolution status (including internal notes an admin adds — those stay internal, but we're telling you they exist and are retained alongside your ticket). If you've ever received a refund, we keep a record of the amount and which admin issued it, for our own accounting and to answer follow-up questions.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data or profile you for advertising. We share it only with the services that run the product:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider.
• Stripe — subscription billing (see Payments below).
• Resend — delivers transactional email (refund confirmations, support-ticket updates, notifications).
• Google — if you sign in with "Continue with Google," Google handles that authentication step.

We also read (but don't send your personal data to) two sources that supply what you see in the product:

• Nexus — supplies the country and role options you pick from during onboarding. This is a one-way, read-only lookup; your own profile data isn't sent to Nexus.
• Job Galaxy's own job-data platform — every job listing shown in Job Galaxy comes from Job Galaxy's job-collection pipeline, which also serves other Job Galaxy products. We display those listings to you; we don't send your personal data back into that pipeline.

Payments

Card details for Pro/Elite subscriptions are handled entirely by Stripe. Job Galaxy never sees or stores your card number.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, applications, bookmarks, resume, and auth record are removed immediately and can't be recovered (see "Deleting your data" below). Job listings themselves (not your data) are automatically marked expired after 30 days and removed after 60.

Cookies & local storage

Job Galaxy doesn't use cookies or any third-party tracking/advertising scripts. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (like theme and filters) on your own device — nothing here is used to track you across other sites, and none of it is shared with an ad network.

Your rights

Wherever you're located, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to send you a copy of it, by emailing privacy@jobgalaxy.app. Deleting your account and exporting a copy of your data are both instant and self-serve from Settings → Data — no need to email us for either, though you're welcome to. If you're in a region that grants additional rights (for example under GDPR or CCPA), we'll honor those to the extent they apply — we haven't undergone a formal compliance audit for every jurisdiction, so if you have specific requirements, tell us and we'll work through them with you.

Deleting your data

You can wipe your account at any time from Settings → Data → Delete Account. Doing so removes your profile, applications, bookmarks, resume, and auth record. The action is irreversible. Deleting your account is separate from requesting a refund — a refund never deletes your account or data on its own; see our Refund Policy.
